Jose Ramirez 4e Classical Guitar with Humicase is built with typical Ramirez care and detail. The top of this classical guitar is solid Canadian Red Cedar with back and sides constructed of solid East Indian Rosewood. The Canadian Red Cedar top of the Jose Ramirez 4e had very fine grade and could easily qualify as AAA, which I am sure contributes to the overall sound quality and volume of this great-sounding guitar. All wood in this guitar is carefully chosen and is aged for a minimum of 2 years before it is turned into lumber and used for the guitars. The Fustero Tuners are typical Ramirez quality and provide a great solid feeling. Rounded out with bone saddle in a solid East Indian Rosewood bridge and a bone nut, make for a great advanced guitar player's prize instrument.Sound Production: 9.5
Great sound from the Jose Ramirez 4e and it proves to be a quality-made instrument. It has the typical Segovia-like sound with the deep bass and clear, high treble note production. I have a 1A that is 30 years old and I would imagine this guitar will come very close to approaching that guitars' sound as it ages.Action: 9.5
Action was typical Ramirez. Slightly high for my style of playing put perfect for the classical guitar concert performer. Intonation was perfect and there was no concerns with any string buzzing.Durability: 9.5
All classical guitars are quite fragile and should not be abused, but this guitar is made in a shop that is free of humidity and that will help guard against cracks due to poor humidity control. With this as well as any quality guitar, insure that humidity is kept as constant as possible with humidifiers in the winter and de-humidifiers in the summer. The neck of the Jose Ramirez 4e is constructed of Spanish Cedar, (which is my favorite). This wood is very lightweight and extremely strong and resists string tension very well. I also like the heavy Ebony neck reinforcement in the center of the neck, giving this guitar a similar, war-free neck as the 1A..Customer Service: 10.0

With a street price of around $3,600.00, the Jose Ramirez 4e guitar is a great buy for what you get, being made by one of the most prestigious luthier's in the world. The fit and finish is close to perfect, the action is great and the tone is second only to the Jose Ramirez 1A Grand Concert. It doesn't get a whole lot better than the Jose Ramirez 4e! The Jose Ramirez 4e guitar is a great buy for anyone interested in delving seriously into the advanced studies of the classical guitar and Ultimate Guitar Online highly recommends it.
