I've been worried about taxi scams and rip-offs so I book return taxi with one of the tourist information desks. $50 return in a private car. I know it's expensive but I want to be sure we get there.

21/12/14: BKK - HAN
Early morning start for the 8:00 flight to Hanoi. Suvarnibumi is so big. The walk to the boarding gate is always further than expected. I hobble about 1k to get to the boarding to relies the plane is out on the Tarmac and we have to board buses to get to the plane. Thankfully it's not to hot at 8:00 am
We arrive in Hanoi about 30 mins late. It's cooler. Good.
