Easter Sunday

Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses
Killing in the name of, And now you do what they told you
Those who died are justified for wearing the badge and the chosen white
You justify those that died by wearing the badge and the chosen white. Now you're under control

Easter Sunday has got me thinking. Not new or unique thoughts. Just reaffirming my faith in something greater than all mankind.
In Christianity we believe that Jesus gives his ultimate demonstration that he has power over life and death, thus he has the ability to give people eternal life. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness.
Yet there are men that:
  1. Kill in the name of God
  2. Kill in the name of the state
  3. Kill to repress the truth
By what right does a man have to kill in the name of God. God created everything. There is no freewill for everything that is, is ordained and created by God.
So what motives are behind those passing sentence:
  1. Modify behaviour
  2. Deter others. Act as an example.
  3. As punishment
  4. To re-enforce the power of the vested interests
  5. Sadistic pleasure
What strength do the condemned have that must be destroyed? Not their free will. The condemned challenge authority. Not the authority of God but the authority of Man. So there is freewill?  Reductio ad absurdum.
